From company to opportunity

A list of names isn’t a pipeline. Opportunities are.

Directories tell you who exists. ClientFinch helps you work out who could actually use your help — and why — so every prospect on your list has a reason to hear from you.

  1. 01

    Discover relevant businesses

Search live Companies House data by sector, location, company age and status to find businesses that match the clients you serve best.

  2. 02

    Research their needs

Open the company profile, then use our free guides to check its website, search visibility and speed the way experienced agencies do.

  3. 03

    Record the opportunity

Save the company and write down the specific gap you spotted — a slow site, no local pages, an outdated design — in private notes.

  4. 04

    Act on a qualified list

Export your shortlist with notes to CSV and open every conversation with something genuinely useful to say.

How to spot website improvement opportunities

Why ClientFinch

Prospecting that starts with opportunity, not volume.

Agencies don’t need ten thousand contacts. They need the forty businesses that genuinely need what they do — and a specific, researched reason to start the conversation.

  1. 01

    Opportunities, not just names

Every saved company carries your notes on what it needs and why you are reaching out, so your list is a set of real sales opportunities rather than a directory export.

  2. 02

Official data, not a bought list

Every real result comes from the Companies House register, so you are working from the same public record UK businesses file with — not a recycled marketing database.

  3. 03

    UK-native targeting

Search legally active UK companies by Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code, registered office location and incorporation date — the way UK companies are actually registered.

  4. 04

    A shortlist you keep

Saved leads and notes are stored against your account, so your list is there on your laptop and your phone, ready when you have time to reach out.

How it works

Three steps from a blank page to a qualified shortlist.

ClientFinch keeps the workflow deliberately simple: define who you want to work with, review real companies, then shortlist the ones worth contacting.

  1. Step 01

    Describe your ideal client

Choose the SIC industry codes you work with, a town or postcode and an incorporation date range. Add a company name if you are looking for someone specific. Only legally active companies are listed.

  2. Step 02

    Research and qualify

Open any company to see its registered office, incorporation date, company type, status and SIC codes. Then check its website and search presence using our step-by-step guides to find the specific opportunity.

  3. Step 03

    Record the opportunity and act

Save the companies that fit, note the gap you would help with, and export your shortlist to CSV for your CRM or outreach tool.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is ClientFinch?

ClientFinch is a B2B prospecting platform for UK agencies and service providers. It helps you discover relevant businesses on the official Companies House register, research where they could use your help, and build a targeted prospect list with notes and CSV export.

Does ClientFinch analyse websites automatically?

Yes, in a limited rollout. For companies with a Verified Website, ClientFinch highlights evidence-backed website improvement opportunities you can use in your pitch. Analyses are added daily, so not every company has one yet, and our free guides show how to review a site yourself too.

Where does the company data come from?

Search results and company profiles come directly from the Companies House Public Data API, the official register of UK companies. ClientFinch does not buy, scrape or resell contact lists.

Does ClientFinch give me email addresses or phone numbers?

No. Companies House holds company-level information such as the registered office address, incorporation date, status and SIC codes. ClientFinch shows that information so you can decide who to approach; finding the right contact and reaching out lawfully is up to you.

Who is ClientFinch for?

Web design studios, SEO and digital marketing agencies, freelancers and B2B service providers — such as bookkeepers, IT support firms and consultants — who sell to UK limited companies and want a focused list rather than a bought database.

How much does it cost?

You can create a free account and prospect at £0, including up to 5 company details per day. Pro removes all limits for £49 per month and you can cancel anytime.

Can I use ClientFinch for cold outreach under UK GDPR and PECR?

ClientFinch helps you research companies; it does not send messages. If you contact businesses, you are responsible for doing so lawfully — for example, having a legitimate interest, being transparent and respecting opt-outs. Sole traders and some partnerships are treated as individuals under PECR, so take extra care with electronic marketing to them.
