ClientFinch

How it works

Define. Discover.Shortlist.

ClientFinch turns the Companies House register into a list of real sales opportunities: businesses that fit, with a researched reason to contact each one. Here’s the workflow, step by step.

  1. Step 01

    Describe your ideal client

Choose the SIC industry codes you work with, a town or postcode and an incorporation date range. Add a company name if you are looking for someone specific. Only legally active companies are listed.

  2. Step 02

    Research and qualify

Open any company to see its registered office, incorporation date, company type, status and SIC codes. Then check its website and search presence using our step-by-step guides to find the specific opportunity.

  3. Step 03

    Record the opportunity and act

Save the companies that fit, note the gap you would help with, and export your shortlist to CSV for your CRM or outreach tool.

Better results

Five habits of effective prospecting.

The tool does the searching. These habits make the shortlist worth working through.

01

Start narrow

One sector and one town gives you a list you can actually work through this week. Widen it once you know what converts.

02

Use more than one SIC code

Businesses in the same trade often register under neighbouring codes. Add two or three to avoid missing good prospects.

03

Check the trading address

Registered offices are often an accountant’s address. Search the company itself before you reference a location in outreach.

04

Check the website

Spend five minutes on each prospect’s site: speed, mobile layout, page titles and clear calls to action. Our guides show you how.

05

Write the reason down

If you cannot write one sentence in the notes about why a company needs you, it probably does not belong on the list.

FAQ

Good to know.

Does ClientFinch analyse websites automatically?

Yes, in a limited rollout. For companies with a Verified Website, ClientFinch highlights evidence-backed website improvement opportunities you can use in your pitch. Analyses are added daily, so not every company has one yet, and our free guides show how to review a site yourself too.

Where does the company data come from?

Search results and company profiles come directly from the Companies House Public Data API, the official register of UK companies. ClientFinch does not buy, scrape or resell contact lists.

How much does it cost?

You can create a free account and prospect at £0, including up to 5 company details per day. Pro removes all limits for £49 per month and you can cancel anytime.
